Something a little different

Postby Bob1298 » Thu Mar 01, 2018 4:26 pm

This is a 5" X 7" Birthday card for my granddaughter, laid out in pencil, then inked. Color done with Prismacolor colored pencil. It was a fun and rewarding, just getting away from the controlled pencil work I normally do.

Yes. This is a good site. What I don't understand is how can a post be viewed say 50 times. And only 1. Or 2 comments. Some people post a drawing and never reply to a comment left on there post shame. This is a good site

John, I find it sad. The critique's are a wonderful learning tool, when I first started (2013) I would spend hours reading the comments and critique. It was a most valuable learning tool. Not a lot to read these days.

Very pretty design Bob, very different. I also have been using this forum for many years and like you found it to be a fantastic learning tool, in fact I would go as far as to say I wouldn't be as far along with my art as I am now, almost everything I learned about drawing animals I learned from Mike's side of the forum. I used to post regularly and also spent hours reading the posts. So sad! Facebook and instagram have a lot to answer for.

Bev, thank you for comment. Over the years I have found that there are more and More "Takers" than there are "Givers". In the world it's called....Socialism...and how has that worked out?? I hope this site does not go the same way!
