Axel the bulldog - Finished
My friend's bulldog passed away unexpectedly recently so I decided to draw the dog as a surprise gift for him and as a chance for me to practice drawing dog fur
Today I spent almost 3 1/2hrs working on it. I want to have this finished by Friday 3rd Feb!

Great start Krissy! Love the soft folds of the cheek and eye.

Re: Axel the bulldog
Thank you Artur & Laurene! This one is a challenge but in a good way
It has also earned me another commission too so it is a worthwhile exercise!
I am 7 1/2hrs in now and only have tonight and tomorrow left to complete it
I might need to have a few late nights I think!!

Re: Axel the bulldog
The time is clicking for you I know...
I know you'll make it on time
I'm having bad time this week, regarding my working hours... I came home after midnight last night, but I mean this night
as I were working late shift yesterday...
I just have woke up and made my coffee...
In over one hour time I'm going to work...
I'll finish about 8pm ...
So I'll be home before 9pm...
And tomorrow, then Saturday as well...
Honesty, how to draw my drawings... ;/
Best regards Krissy

Beautiful work Krissy! I was wondering how big your drawing is?

Re: Axel the bulldog
Laurene, it is 9"x12"
Artur, I hope you can find some time for drawing soon! I know when I get busy it helps me to relax a little bit. It's hard to squeeze in time for it though I know!
All finished! 12hrs 14mins spread over just seven days. Probably my fastest full detail drawing in about 10 years ha! My friend was overwhelmed with emotion and I received a half dozen hugs and a kiss on the cheek
He has shared a photo of the drawing on his Facebook profile which has resulted in a few commission enquiries! One for another bulldog
The dark graphite powder sections haven't come out very nicely in the photo, they look much smoother in person!

Thank you Krissy
Yeah , every morning I manage to have a breakfast and a coffee before I go
I manage to do the same beforr I go bed
After my work I'm walking dog yet...
She's waiting locked home for many hours, so even I'm tired I walk her, to treat her for long waiting time
Just can't wait till Sat evening...
I'm going to be home around 7pm but Sunday off
So I can start some drawing at Sat night...
No need to go bed sooner
As I said many times before, you drawings are amazing and I saw your leopard's eye in pastels moments ago while enjoying my coffee, so anything you touch you're very well at !!!
Congratulation once more
